Earlier this summer, West and North London Integrated Care Board (ICB) made the decision to close Fairview Pharmacy at Finchley Memorial Hospital.
From Sunday 30th August, there will no longer be a pharmacy at Finchley Memorial Hospital.
Please sign my open letter calling on the ICB to ensure that there is no loss of provision and Fairview Pharmacy is replaced.

“Dear ICB,
I am writing in response to plans to close Fairview Pharmacy at Finchley Memorial Hospital. From Sunday 30th August, the pharmacy will no longer be in operation and the ICB has not confirmed whether it will be replaced.
Finchley Memorial Hospital is an excellent facility, which serves the local community in Finchley and Golders Green well. Services such as the walk-in centre and Community Diagnostic Centre are just some of the reasons why Finchley Memorial is so valuable. As a patient myself I’ve found Finchley Memorial Hospital to be a brilliant local service. And when I visited as the MP last April for a tour of the Hospital I was struck by the dedication of staff and the excellent facilities.
The on-site pharmacy is another vital service provided at the Hospital. Those who visit the Hospital regularly depend on the convenience of using it. The specific services offered and the integration with the hospital cannot be replicated elsewhere. Barnet Council’s Health and Wellbeing Board has assessed that the closure will mean there is a gap in local provision.
Our community will be disadvantaged by this closure. People value the pharmacy at Finchley Memorial Hospital and we need continuity of service at this health hub.
Residents and I are calling on the ICB to ensure that there is no loss of provision and that, upon the closure of Fairview Pharmacy on 30th August, another pharmacy replaces it.
Provision of a pharmacy at Finchley Memorial Hospital must be protected.
